Rocktan Hairdressers Adelaide created several different styles on the girls hair. Being beachwear we wanted to keep it down and flowy. It was generally loose and teased with some braids across the front and back. The top of the hair was kept tight and as it went down it had more flow and body.

Tanya’s Miss World Australia contestant was dressed in a designer gown created by one of Australia’s top designers and Tanya’s challenge was to style and dress the hair of her contestant to create a “total look” which captures the glamour and elegance worthy of the title “MISS WORLD 2009”.

We are very pleased to announce that Tanya won the event and the title of “Miss World Australia Young Hair Designer 2009” – a fantastic win and very worthy recipient.  In addition, she collected several coveted prizes including an all expenses paid holiday to the Gold Coast.  Tanya’s expertise lies in bridal hair and upstyles and she is a highly regarded trainer in her field.

Hair done by Rocktan Hair Salon Adelaide

Rocktan Hair Salon Adelaide was one of the chosen salons from South Australia to style the hair for L’oreal Melbourne Fashion Week. The Rocktan girls had an early Monday morning start as hair preparation began at 5.30am. Using their skills and experience the girls did multiple up styles on several of the models. The fashion parade was held at the Southern Cross Station on Spencer street, Melbourne City. The models were wearing several glamour gowns that were designed and re-created to represent the fashion era’s through the ages. Rocktan Hair Adelaide did South Australia proud with the quality of hair styling applied to the models hair. So it all began early on Friday night at the Rocktan Hair Salon Adelaide located on Prospect Road, Prospect. Everyone enjoyed a few glasses of champagne and wine to get things started. The Rocktan Hair girls came up with a few ideas and quickly put their hands to work. After the Rocktan Hairdressers had styled the models hair they posed for a few photos with the models. Everyone then all headed outside into the car park where a huge sixteen seater Black Hummer Limo from Pure Envy Limos was waiting. While cruising the streets of Adelaide we acustomised ourselves with the fantastic interior and entertainment gagets inside the huge long Hummer limo. On the way we made a few quick pit stops and then we headed straight for Fumo Blu on Rundle Street, Adelaide. There were cocktails and nibbles for everyone while the Rocktan Hairdressers Adelaide went back stage to put the final touches and do some re-orgainising to the models hair. The beautiful models were all from Pride Models on Henley Beach Road at Mile End. The models all did three seperate group struts wearing a different look of clothing each time. Each look they wore was reffered to and catergarised into three sections. The three looks were reffered to as the Black look, the white look and colour look. These were very basically named on the main colour of clothing that was worn for that single strut. The clothing the models displayed were by designers such as George Gross and Harry Who. They also were wearing a selected collection of assorted assesories, shoes and boots to go with their designer outfits.
